I added Mort to the class list and updated his profile page. This is a friendly reminder that you need to have the username/password combination to view anyone's profile.
At the SPOT on March 22, 2012
When Mort (Butchy) visited Maui, some of the classmates gathered at the usual SPOT to greet him. Click the thumbnail of a group photo just above this bulletin board to start a brief slideshow. The photos were contributed by Gail, Faith, and Tony.

As you probably learned from Faith's e-mail, our classmate Karen K. Matsuoka passed away, and her funeral was held on Oahu on February 13, 2012.
I added Karen to the In Memoriam page. May she rest in peace.

I finished converting all of the slide shows on the Photo Albums page to new formats so that everything on that page can now be viewed without Adobe Flash Player. The new slide show program works pretty much like the old one. I haven't added a "help" page because I think everything is pretty much self-explanatory. If you need help or if you notice something strange, do let me know. Now, I need to convert all of the videos.
Just increased the font size for the response section in the Guestbook to make it easier for the old eyes.

I am giving the website a new look-and-feel by replacing the Flash animation objects with jQuery (javascript) objects. The main reason for phasing out Flash animation is to ensure that those of you who might be using iPad and other devices that do not support Flash player are, also, able to view this website. Currently, the most of the slide shows on the Photo Albums page and the video galleries on the Videos pages still use Flash, but I'm working on those items.
I added monthly calendars which you can set as wallpaper on your PC desktop. Since these calendars feature photos taken on Maui, they will bring Maui closer to you. Click the thumbnails on the left to view samples. You can navigate to the calendars page by selecting Potpourri > Calendars on the navigation bar.

With assistance from a number of classmates, as described on the Acknowledgement page, I initiated this website, hoping to increase interaction among MHS65 classmates.- Yoshi

Acknowledgement
I wish to acknowledge the contributions made by a number of the classmates without which I would not have been able to build this site:
Dan S. and Marvin H. for contributing a bulk of the initial material for this site and identifying most of the classmates in the photos.
Faith I. for providing me with much information about the classmates and about the deceased classmates, and also planning and coordinating the 45th Class Reunion in July 2010.
Joyce G. for contributing many interesting photos from her travels.
Eileen S. for helping us identify many of the classmates in the photos of the earlier reunions.
Reuben T. for providing many useful suggestions to make this site an interesting and user-friendly place, and also for identifying many of the classmates.
Steve P. and Gordon K. for contributing photos from the 2007 All Maui High School Reunion as well as from the party held at Palmer's residence for the Class of '65.
Richard M. for meticulously scanning the entire MHS '65 yearbook for me to use as raw material.
Frank C. for words of encouragement.
In addition, the above individuals helped me test various features of this web site. I hope that the future visitors to this site will appreciate the contributions made by them. Furthermore, I hope that you, too, will decide to contribute new material to the site to make it a lively place.
